I’m Serge Ramelli and I am a photographer and digital artist who has helped 1000’s of photographers master Lightroom and Photoshop, and now 3D.

I personally have been trying to learn 3D for many years, mainly with Blender and Cinema 4D. Both are incredible but hard to learn.

A few months ago, I came across a software called Unreal Engine. This engine was created for video games originally, but it is now being used even for major TV shows like the Mandalorian! I could not believe the results I was getting in just a few weeks!

Better than what I have ever achieved in years trying to use traditional 3D software...

So, I’m going to share with you three secrets about Unreal Engine and how you can create almost anything as an artist.

And I know what you’re probably thinking: this is not for me, I’m going to show you a great way you can create amazing art in hours and not months.

Secret number one: With Unreal Engine you can create anything just like with Lego! When you use Blender or Cinema 4D, you must create a lot of the assets first, and only then create your world. And if you want the top-quality assets, they can be super expensive.

What makes Unreal Engine literally ‘unreal’ is a technology called MegaScan created by Quixel company. They got acquired by Epic
Games - the creator of Unreal Engine and they decided to offer their entire 16,000 MegaScans library for Unreal Engine users for free.
What is a MegaScan? It is a 3D asset, like a rock or a tree
that was created by combining hundreds of real-life photos and made into an asset that can be placed anywhere in Unreal Engine. Because
it is made of photos it looks super realistic! The amount of work it takes to take one MegaScan is huge!
Can you imagine having 16,000 for free?
