ICELAND workshop

Join us for an 8-day adventure across Iceland's dramatic landscapes — from hidden canyons to black sand beaches and glacial lagoons. You'll learn photography in the field and during editing sessions, while enjoying the comfort of handpicked hotels and the camaraderie of a small creative group.

Workshop Day 1

Wednesday, WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 16th, 2026

  • Welcome to Reykjavik! We will meet late afternoon in the lobby of our host hotel, Center Hotels Plaza and go from there to a nearby restaurant for a meet and greet Welcome Dinner. We will get to know each other and have a chat about what we will be doing during the coming week.
Day 1 — ICELAND

Workshop Day 2

Thursday, THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 17th, 2026

  • Morning departure in our private 4x4 vehicle
  • We will start the day by our first stop in Búðakirkja
  • Continued by the incredible Arnarstapi
  • We will then head to Lóndrangar Cliff
  • and Svörtuloft Lighthouse
  • In the mid afternoon you will get to witness the beauty of Kirkjufell our final destination for the day
  • We will be staying at the Hotel Kirkjufell
  • Evening: Northern Lights Hunt (weather permitting)
Day 2 — ICELAND

Friday, FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 18TH, 2026

  • Departure in the morning to head to Gullfoss Falls which can only be compared to paradise!
  • In the afternoon you will capture the incredible mountains of Kerlingarfjöll
  • We will check in at Kerlingarfjöll Highland Base Hotel
  • Evening: Northern Lights Hunt (weather permitting) walking distance
Day 3 — ICELAND

Saturday, SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 19TH, 2026

  • Optional: Sunrise Kerlingarfjoll Shoot
  • We will check out from the hotel and heat to Gjáin
  • In the afternoon you will witness the beauty of Hjálparfoss
  • Followed by Háifoss Waterfall
  • And finally the beautiful Sigöldugljúfur the Valley of the Tears
  • Check in at The Highland Centre Hotel
  • Evening: Northern Lights Hunt (weather permitting) walking distance
Day 4 — ICELAND

Sunday, SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 20TH, 2026

  • Starting the morning with a shoot at Bláhylur (Hnausapollur)
  • Afterwards, we will head to Landmannalaugar
  • After lunch we will enjoy the beautiful waterfall at Ófærufoss
  • We will check in at Fosshotel Nupar
  • Evening: Northern Lights Hunt (weather permitting) walking distance
Day 5 — ICELAND

Monday, MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 21ST, 2026

  • Late morning we will photograph the waterfall, Skaftafell
  • After lunch we will get equipped with our cold weather gear and capture the incredible Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon
  • After that we will check in at Fosshotel Vatnajokull
  • And finish the day with a shoot at Vestrahorn also called Diamond Beach
  • Evening: Northern Lights Hunt (weather permitting) walking distance
Day 6 — ICELAND

Tuesday, TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 22ND, 2026

  • Sunrise in Diamond beach , the best way to see the sun shine!
  • We will then explore the Katla Ice Cave
  • In the afternoon we will see the spectacular Skógafoss Waterfall
  • As well as the Seljalandsfoss Waterfall
  • Evening: Farewell Dinner to celebrate an unforgettable journey together at Fjallakonan
Day 7 — ICELAND

Wednesday, 23rd September, 2026 — Check-out and transfer to the airport. Optional free time in Reykjavík for those with later flights.

Frequently Asked Questions

Fully refundable deposits up to July 1st, 2026 for the workshop are $2,500. Total price per ticket is $9,900 for single rooms and $8,900 for shared rooms. You will be billed for the remaining balance as we near the workshop date in September of 2026.

The fee for the whole workshop is $9,900 per person, which includes:

  • Retouch classes and one on one advice, tips and tricks so you can improve no matter your level in photography so everybody wins!
  • Seven nights accommodations, including breakfasts at the hotel.
  • The transport during our photoshoots as well as a top tour guide.
  • The discovery of the beautiful Iceland with all the hidden gems.
  • Welcome dinner and farewell dinner

Additional meals, flight tickets and additional nights in the hotel are at your expense.

You will pay a reservation of $2,500 to secure your spot in the workshop of September 2026.

This is a fully refundable deposit up to July 1st, 2026. The deposit is to secure your spot with hotel and workshop.

  • Your camera,
  • a tripod,
  • a wireless remote or cable release,
  • a wide-angle lens (24mm or wider),
  • a telephoto lens,
  • a ND filter (10-stops or higher) for long exposures,
  • a laptop with Lightroom or Photoshop (or both) for the post-processing.

Now that we have covered the technical part, let's go over what to wear. The weather in Iceland can get quite cold with an average temperature of 8.5C or 47F so dress warm and wear layers!

Trust me when I say the views and photos are worth the bit of cold ;)

I accept all level of experience in photography, but just make sure you have the gear needed; otherwise it will be no fun for you. If you are missing a lens or a ND filter don't worry about it!

No, we can't have an extra person given that we have limited seats in the car. If you wish to bring someone along, it would have to be a photographer that will take advantage of the whole experience and pay the full price to participate.
