Terms of Sale and Refund Policy

Effective Date: April 28, 2026

This Terms of Sale and Refund Policy (“Policy”) governs all purchases made through Photo Serge (“we,” “us,” or “Company”). By purchasing any of our products, courses, programs, subscriptions, workshops, or services, you agree to these terms.

1. General Terms

All purchases are for your personal, non-commercial use only. Our offerings consist primarily of digital photography courses, videos, educational materials, coaching resources, downloadable content, live or recorded training, in-person workshops and events, critiques, community access, subscriptions, and related services.

Access is granted under a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license. You may not share, resell, distribute, copy, reproduce, publish, or otherwise transfer any materials, login credentials, recordings, downloads, critiques, coaching resources, subscription access, workshop materials, or program content.

2. Refund Policy

We stand behind our products and want you to be fully satisfied. However, refund eligibility depends on the specific program, course, subscription, workshop, or product purchased.

Unless otherwise stated at checkout or on the applicable product page, refunds are governed by the terms below.

3. Institute of Photography Program

The Institute of Photography is our flagship coaching and education program. It includes immediate access to proprietary digital training, educational materials, coaching resources, program deliverables, administrative onboarding, and related services.

Because enrollment provides immediate access to valuable intellectual property, digital content, coaching resources, and service-based deliverables, the following refund terms apply.

Full Upfront Payment

If you purchase the Institute of Photography with a full upfront payment, you may request a refund within 7 days of your original purchase date.

Any approved refund for the Institute of Photography will be reduced by a non-refundable 10% processing, onboarding, and service fee.

This fee covers costs associated with payment processing, administrative enrollment, onboarding, account setup, access provisioning, coaching resource preparation, program servicing, and the immediate delivery of proprietary digital materials and educational resources.

To qualify for a refund, you must submit your request within 7 days of the original purchase date and immediately cease all use of the program, coaching resources, course materials, videos, downloads, community access, critiques, and related content.

Payment Plan / Installments

Payment plan and installment purchases for the Institute of Photography are non-refundable.

Once you enroll in the Institute of Photography using a payment plan, all payments are final. You remain responsible for completing the full scheduled payment plan agreed to at checkout.

Because the Institute includes immediate access to proprietary training, educational materials, coaching resources, program systems, and service-based deliverables, payment plan purchases are non-refundable and may not be canceled in exchange for a refund of amounts already paid.

Failure to complete scheduled payments may result in suspension or termination of access and collection of the remaining balance.

No refunds, cancellations, or chargebacks will be issued for any reason after enrollment under a payment plan.

4. Workshops and In-Person Events

Photo Serge workshops are premium, limited-capacity, in-person experiences that require significant advance planning, venue rentals, instructor and staff commitments, materials, travel arrangements, and marketing. These fixed costs are incurred well before the event, which is why we use a tiered cancellation policy — a standard practice among professional photography workshop providers and live-event organizers.

Payment Structure

A deposit is required at registration to secure your seat. The remaining balance will be invoiced approximately 60 days before the workshop start date and is due upon receipt.

Tiered Cancellation & Refund Policy

All cancellations must be submitted in writing to [email protected]. The following schedule applies based on the number of days prior to the original workshop start date:

More than 180 days before the workshop:
Refund of all amounts paid, minus a 10% administrative, processing, and planning fee.

90–180 days before the workshop:
Refund of all amounts paid, minus a 30% administrative and opportunity fee.

Less than 90 days before the workshop, including after the final balance invoice:
Refund of all amounts paid, minus a 50% administrative and opportunity fee.

Workshop Transfers

At any time before the workshop, you may request to transfer your paid amounts to:

  • A future Photo Serge workshop of equivalent value, subject to availability; or
  • Another eligible participant, provided you arrange the substitute and we approve the transfer.

Transfers must be requested in writing at least 14 days before the original workshop date.

Refund Rules for Transferred Workshops

Workshop transfers do not reset, extend, or restart the original refund period.

If you transfer your workshop payment or credit to a future workshop, your refund eligibility remains tied to the original purchase date and the original workshop date.

Once a workshop payment has been transferred to a future workshop, the transferred amount becomes a non-refundable workshop credit unless otherwise required by law or approved by Photo Serge in writing.

Transferred workshop credits may be used only toward an eligible future Photo Serge workshop, subject to availability, pricing, and approval.

Transferred credits may not be converted back into cash refunds after the original refund window or cancellation period has passed.

Photo Serge may limit the number of times a workshop payment or credit may be transferred. Any additional transfer requests are subject to approval and are not guaranteed.

Additional Workshop Terms

If Photo Serge cancels the workshop for any reason, you will receive a full refund or full credit to a future workshop of your choice.

We strongly recommend purchasing travel or trip insurance to protect against personal circumstances, travel issues, illness, emergencies, schedule conflicts, or other risks.

No refunds or transfers will be issued for no-shows or partial attendance.

This policy applies regardless of the reason for cancellation. We may consider documented extreme hardships on a case-by-case basis, but exceptions are not guaranteed.

The tiered fees cover payment processing costs, which we do not recover on refunds, administrative work, and the real planning and opportunity costs of holding your seat.

5. Subscriptions and Memberships

This section applies to recurring subscriptions and memberships, including but not limited to the Photo Serge Academy and similar recurring-access products.

Subscriptions provide ongoing access to digital courses, trainings, community features, content libraries, live or recorded sessions, and/or other membership benefits for as long as the subscription remains active.

Subscription Billing

By purchasing a subscription, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis according to the billing interval shown at checkout, such as monthly or annually, until you cancel.

You are responsible for managing your subscription and canceling before your next billing date if you do not wish to continue.

Subscription Cancellations

You may cancel your subscription to prevent future billing. Cancellation stops future recurring charges but does not automatically refund past payments.

When you cancel, your access may continue until the end of your current paid billing period unless otherwise stated at checkout or within the subscription platform.

Subscription Refunds

Subscription refunds, where approved, are limited to the current billing period or the immediately prior billing period only.

We do not issue refunds for older subscription charges, unused time, forgotten cancellations, lack of use, or failure to access the membership.

No refunds will be issued for subscription charges older than the immediately prior billing period unless required by law or approved by Photo Serge in writing.

6. All Other Courses and Products

All other courses, tutorials, tools, downloads, and products, excluding the Institute of Photography, workshops, in-person events, and subscriptions, come with our standard 30-day money-back guarantee unless otherwise stated at checkout or on the applicable product page.

Refund requests must be submitted within 30 days of the original purchase date.

7. Refund Conditions and Process

To qualify for any refund where refunds are available:

You must submit your request within the applicable refund window from the original purchase date, subscription billing date, or per the tiered workshop schedule above.

You must delete all digital files, videos, audio, text, downloads, PDFs, presets, software, course materials, and other materials obtained from us.

You must immediately stop accessing or using the purchased program, course, community, subscription, coaching resources, or content.

If any physical products were shipped, they must be returned in merchantable, resalable condition at your expense, along with proof of purchase.

For workshops, you must also comply with the tiered terms in Section 4, including any transfer request details.

Refunds will be processed back to the original payment method within 7–14 business days after approval.

8. How to Request a Refund

To help us locate your transaction and process your request, please include the following information:

  • The name of the product, program, workshop, subscription, or course being refunded.
  • The email address used to purchase the product.
  • If PayPal was used, the PayPal email address used for the purchase.
  • If Apple Pay was used, the Apple Pay email address associated with the purchase.
  • If you are not sure what email address was used, please provide the last 4 digits of the card used so we can attempt to reverse-search the transaction.
  • If available, please include a copy of your receipt or order confirmation.

Please also include a brief explanation of your request. This feedback helps us improve our offerings.

We may contact you to see if there is anything we can do to resolve your concerns before processing the refund.

For workshop transfer requests, please include your preferred future workshop date or substitute participant details.

9. Prohibited Refund Conduct

Requesting a refund while continuing to use, download, access, copy, share, or benefit from the purchased materials is prohibited.

If you request a refund, you must immediately cease all use of the applicable content, materials, software, videos, coaching resources, downloads, subscriptions, and services.

Continuing to use refunded materials may violate our intellectual property rights and may result in termination of access, denial of refund eligibility, or other remedies available under applicable law.

10. Payment Plans and Installments

When you choose a payment plan, you authorize us to charge your payment method for each scheduled installment on the dates agreed at checkout.

Payment plans are not subscriptions that can be canceled at any time. They are installment payment arrangements for a fixed purchase price.

Failure to complete payments may result in suspension of access, cancellation of account privileges, and collection of the remaining balance.

Unless otherwise stated in this Policy, amounts paid under a payment plan are non-refundable.

11. No Guarantees of Results

Our programs are designed to help you improve your photography skills, artistic development, editing ability, business knowledge, and creative execution.

However, individual results vary widely depending on your effort, experience, consistency, equipment, market conditions, implementation, and other factors.

We do not guarantee specific outcomes, income, awards, gallery placements, client results, sales, business success, or professional recognition.

12. Intellectual Property

All content, videos, trainings, methods, systems, PDFs, downloads, critiques, presets, software, coaching resources, subscription content, workshop materials, and materials are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

You may not share, distribute, reproduce, resell, publish, transfer, sublicense, upload, or otherwise exploit any materials without our prior written consent.

13. Policy Updates

This Policy may be updated from time to time. The version in effect at the time of your purchase will generally govern that purchase, unless a change is required by law or otherwise stated.

Your continued purchases after any changes constitute acceptance of the revised terms.
