Serge Ramelli shares his best photos of Notre Dame of the last 13 years

What happened to Notre Dame yesterday is tragic. Notre Dame has been a source of inspiration for me and millions of people. For the last 15 years, I have been taking photos and was there countless times trying to capture it in the best light possible.

I just heard that the two main towers were saved and a lot of art too, but there are huge damages. When I was 10 years old my mum offered me a book about Notre Dame and how it took 100 years to build. It the symbol of Paris.

In memory of the Church, I wanted to share with you the best photos I have taken over the last 13 years:

This was taken the 19 March 2006, my first years into photography, it as the first one that I got at night that was sharp love the two towers
5 August 2007 During the summer you can go at night at the top of the two towers and get this incredible view from the back
this is the view from the Front that same night
30 December 2009, I got the authorization to go to the last floor of Hotel Notre Dame and that is the view from there
19 November 2010 A bad weather day view from the top of the towers. I love the Gargouille
20 March 2011 This is the view from the Pont de L'archevéché; one night I was driving with my scooter and witness one of the craziest sunsets ever and did 95-second exposure to capture the cloud in movement.
2 December 2011, this is the view from L'institut du monde d'Arabe with a 100 mm zoom
13 March 2013, the photographer. I asked a friend to pose as he was taking the photo right after a nice rain
Same day at Golden hour an 81 seconds exposure of the sun setting behind the church
50 minutes later now the sunset, as the light starts to flow on the monument you understand why it is an endless inspiration for photos
1st July 2015 Wen back up during a storm love the view even in bad weather!
15 July 2015 It is very unusual for the parvis of Notre Dame to be empty, but look at the color of the blue hour with the church one of my favorites
13 November 2018 The view from my hotel as I got up. the sun rises right behind the church
16 November 2018 the last photo I got a snapshot of the fall colors while it was being renovated
